Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez reacted to the ongoing investigation of their team principal.
Red Bull launched their car yesterday, on the 15th of February, and both team's drivers, with the principal Christian Horner, attended the event.
Horner's attendance was uncertain for a while ahead of the event because he is currently under serious investigation for "inappropriate behavior" toward a female employee.
After the main show ended, there was space for the media to ask drivers some questions. When Max Verstappen was asked about his approach to the ongoing investigation, he told the media at the launch event:
"It’s the same as always, I can tell you that. I don’t know who likes to write these things but to me, Christian is like always."
The triple World Champion is currently in the preparation mode for the upcoming season, during which he will try to equal the record for four consecutive World Championship titles. He added:
"From my side I am very focused on my own performance to get ready, to be fit, to be ready to drive the car, to be discussing things with the engineers, what you want to do."
Sergio Perez had a similar response for the media when he was asked about the situation inside the Red Bull Racing team at the moment. He said:
"I think we just want to go racing. We are a race team and we want the whole team to stay together because we've been successful."
Christian Horner also answered a few questions from the media and repeatedly emphasized that tough times like these bring the team closer together.
While the team principal has admitted the investigation has caused some distraction within the team, both Red Bull's drivers seem to be entirely focused on the season ahead. Checo added:
"The main goal... remembering we are here for racing, we love it, and we go racing together. We know that Christian is a key player in our organisation."
