The latest social media move leaked provided even more confirmation on an already leaked potential new name of the AlphaTauri Formula 1 team.
It seems the official announcement of AlphaTauri's new rebrand might go down very soon with two leaks over the period of the last two days.
Firstly, it has been uncovered that Red Bull GmbH trademarked the name Racing Bulls earlier in 2023. Therefore, it was suggested that this could potentially be the team's official name.
Secondly, it has been uncovered the domain racingbulls.com started redirecting users for a period of time to the domain visacashapprb.com (possibly standing for for Visa Cash App Racing Bulls).
And then, a few hours ago, many Instagram users experienced a strange thing when they tried to access AlpaTauri's profile on the social media platform.
The AlphaTauri's page apparently showed a different name for a period of time. What was the name? You guessed it... It was "Visacashapprb" (again, most probably standing for the same name).

Would anybody really call AlphaTauri Visa Cash App Racing Bulls?

It is not to provide an opportunity to be included in the name of the team to their biggest sponsors. We call these sponsors "title sponsors," and teams like Red Bull, Mercedes, or Aston Martin have them.
The full names of these teams are Oracle Red Bull Racing, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, and Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team. Yet, nobody mentions sponsor names when referring to the teams because their names are just too long.
So, while AlpahTauri's new name might likely be Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, we expect everybody to commonly refer to the team as just "Racing Bulls."
Many fans expressed disapproval of the team's choice of a new name on social media, even though it hasn't been confirmed yet. Could you imagine Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda as Racing Bulls drivers?
