Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton is looking forward to a "wild experience" during the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix at Las Vegas Strip.
The 1100th race in Formula One history - the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix promises one of the biggest shows the sport of Formula One has ever seen.
Some people like Bernie Ecclestone and Max Verstappen criticized the race, saying it has "'Nothing to do with Formula 1" and that F1 is in the Sin City more for show than the race itself.
Other people like Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff said it is going to be a tremendous show for audiences and F1 drivers with their teams alike.
Liberty Media CEO said there will be 105,000 people, and the event will be Las Vegas's biggest event. Lewis Hamilton displayed some concerns, but is looking forward to the wild experience as he told Sky Sports F1:
"I just don’t understand how we’re going to move around that place, I don’t know how we’re going to get from the track to the hotel! It’s going to be such a compact spot with so many people, but I think it’s going to be a wild experience."
In the end, the seven-time World Champion said it is best to go into the weekend with and open mind and see how everything turns out.
I think the best thing is just to go in with an open mind, not have any pre-determined ideas of what it’s going to be like and just take it all in when you get there. Driving under those lights is going to feel like I’m in a casino movie, it’s pretty cool!
Las Vegas opening show is supposed to be bigger and better than Super Bowl halftime show. Organizers went all in on the event and we can only wait and see how it turns out.
