Former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone criticized the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, saying it has nothing to do with Formula 1.

The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the 1100th Grand Prix in Formula One and it is supposed to be one of the greatest shows Formula One has ever seen.

On the other hand, such a great show requires huge preparations, and Las Vegas residents and tourists suffered in the recent few weeks as a result.

Social media exploded with Las Vegas residents complaining about how Formula One ruined the city. In reaction to the outrage, Liberty Media's CEO publicly apologized to everybody.

F1 teams and their drivers also raised multiple concerns. Max Verstappen said F1 is in Vegas more for the show than racing itself and that he is not a fan of it.

Bernie Ecclestone recently shared his opinion (similar to Verstappen) on the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix at Las Vegas Strip Circuit when he told the Dutch publication NOS:

"I’m not really looking forward to it. Why not? It has nothing to do with Formula 1."

On the other hand, Former F1 CEO appreciates the development and huge growth of the sport around the World in recent years:

"I am happy that the sport continues to develop around the world. I am the one who brought Formula 1 out of Europe and to the rest of the world. We are competing for a World Championship, not a European Championship. It is good that that remains the case."

Lewis Hamilton recently hailed the growth of Formula One in the United States saying it has been really amazing to see so many people in the Country speaking about Formula One.

Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place this week, and it will be the first ever Grand Prix to have a qualification and the main Grand Prix race on the same day. Are you looking forward to the race in Las Vegas?
