Federation Internationale de l'Automobile released an official statement in response to Christian Horner's ongoing investigation.

The team principal of Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner, is currently under investigation for inappropriate behavior towards one of the F1 team's female employees.

The team principal continues in his business as usual because he hasn't been proven guilty so far. However, Red Bull and all its partners are taking the case very seriously.

The 50-year-old's future in this sport is at stake. While many details about the investigation have not been made public, Dutch news agency De Telegraaf claims to have insider info. It reports that Horner is being accused of sexual misconduct.

The team principal was allegedly sending the female employee inappropriate messages repeatedly and for an extended period of time. Note that this has not been officially confirmed.

An external barrister is concluding the investigation. It was first expected to be concluded a lot sooner, but at the moment, there is no indication of how long it might possibly take.

With the pre-season testing (tomorrow, 21st of February) and the first race weekend of the season (about a week away on (the 29th of February) fast approaching, F1 shared their official response to the investigation recently calling for a solution to the matter as soon as possible.

Following F1's response to the matter, FIA (the governing body of Formula 1) also released an official statement in which the organization stated:

"In relation to the independent investigation currently being undertaken by Red Bull GMbH, the FIA reiterates that until such time as the investigation has concluded and the outcome is known, we will not be commenting further."
"The FIA remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, fairness and inclusivity within the sport."

Horner will attend the pre-season testing in Bahrain, though it is unclear whether it will be his last right as the longest-serving team principal in F1 or whether he will retain his position.
