The 2023 F1 season has been almost completely dominated by
Max Verstappen and the
Red Bull Racing team, and together, they broke 14 insane driver records.
Max Verstappen won 19th out of 22 races of the 2023 season after the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi. He left only two race wins on the table for his teammate
Sergio Perez and only one for a non-Red Bull driver,
Carlos Sainz, in
Singapore.
While the Dutchman admitted he did not expect the 2023 season to be better than the already super-dominant 2022, his team gave an ultra-competitive car to him, and Verstappen delivered with incredible consistency.

The outstanding consistency of the three-time World Champion often depressed his competitors as they knew even starting ten positions ahead of the Dutchman would not help them in the battle for Grand Prix victory.
Multiple drivers like
Lando Norris and
Lewis Hamilton gave it their best in the fight with Verstappen when some circuit suited their cars, like in Austin or Sao Paulo, but they just could not catch up with the Flying Dutchman in the lead.
After the
2023 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, Norris told the media, "
P2 is as good as we can get nowadays," which summarizes the 2023 pretty well for the remaining 19 drivers on the grid.
Verstappen has been so dominant, that
he was declared the biggest risk to the business of F1 at one point of the season as multiple fans of competitor teams stopped looking forward to race weekends.
It seems almost impossible that the Dutchman's and Red Bull's utter dominance could continue in the 2024 season, but Verstappen said he is ready for the challenge.
