Max Verstappen won the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit after starting from second place.
The Red Bull Racing F1 team continues a winning streak in Las Vegas, with Max Verstappen finishing first and Sergio Perez in third.
Charles Leclerc might have hoped for a better result before the race but ended up separating the two Red Bull drivers as he overtook Perez on the race's final lap.
His teammate Carlos Sainz, who started from the 12th place because of his penalty, finished in P6. Saturday was a great day for one side of the Alpine garage; however, it was Esteban Ocon's this time.
While Pierre Gasly suffered from battery issues and fell down the grid to finish outside of points, his Frenchman teammate finished in P4 after starting from the sixteenth position on the grid.
George Russell on Mercedes managed to overtake Ocon on the race's final lap. But his five-second penalty for a collision with Verstappen sent him back to eighth place behind his teammate Lewis Hamilton in P7.
Aston Martin will be satisfied with the result of this race as both Lance Stroll (P5) and Fernando Alonso (P9) finished inside points ahead of the McLaren of Oscar Piastri in P10.
The second McLaren driver, Lando Norris, had a crash in turn 12 that put him out of the race already on lap 3. Williams will also want to forget about the race in Sin City as soon as possible.
Starting from the P5 and P6 on the grid, it seemed like Williams was on to collect at least a few Championship points, but in the end, both Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant finished outside of point positions.
Luckily for Williams, their main Championship rival AlphaTauri also scored zero points, with Daniel Ricciardo in P14 and Yuki Tsunoda retiring from the race.
Tsunoda was a second driver in a matter of few laps to retire his car following Nico Hulkenberg on Haas. Hulkenberg's teammate Kevin Magnussen finished P13.
Valtteri Bottas got caught in a turn-one incident of the first lap, which set him back for the rest of the race. Both he and Zhou Guanyu crossed the finish line outside of points P17 and P15.
