Red Bull's team principal Christian Horner reflected on Max Verstappen's incident with Lando Norris, as he suggested the triple World Champion will not change.
Max Verstappen and Lando Norris were known to be great friends up until the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix. Whether the incident between them that took place will change this dynamic is yet to be revealed.
However, the triple World Champion and the McLaren driver didn't fly from Austria together as they often did, which suggests the tension wasn't resolved back then.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the 2024 British Grand Prix, which takes place right the week following the 11th round of the season at Red Bull Ring, Christian Horner suggested the two drivers have already talked to each other.
"I understand they've spoken already, I don't think there is any issue. Certainly, from Max's side, he's not going to change. There's an element, I think, of Lando learning how to race Max, and they're discovering that."
Up until the 2024 season, Norris and Verstappen didn't meet on track very often, as McLaren still lacked performance on Red Bull.
However, as the two cars converge in performance, the Briton and the Dutchman will undoubtedly fight each other more often and frequently for the race win.
The team principal of the Red Bull Racing F1 team expects to see more battles just like we've seen in the last couple of races (since McLaren introduced powerful upgrades).
"Inevitably, there is going to be more close racing between the two of them as the cars look so close over the forthcoming races."
"Max is a hard racer - he's probably one of the hardest racers on the circuit, and everybody knows that if you're going to race against Max, he's going to give as good as he gets."
