Max Verstappen's 2023 F1 season has been record-breaking for quite some time already, but he has extended his dominance thanks to winning the 2023
Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Early in the week, the
Red Bull driver
didn't seem to be very happy to drive at the
Las Vegas Strip Circuit, but as the week progressed, the Dutchman seemed to be enjoying his time on the track.
However, one thing that was the same for almost every race in the 2023 season didn't change, and that was the fact that, in the end,
Verstappen won the Las Vegas Grand Prix, securing his 18th win of the season.
In 2022, the Dutchman surpassed the jointly-held record of
Sebastian Vettel and
Michael Schumacher, who have both won 13 races, when the number 1 driver managed to win 15 races.
This year, he pushed it even further with his
16th race win in Mexico City,
17th in Sao Paulo, and now, the 18th Grand Prix victory at the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
It's another extension of his record, which can go as far as 19 race wins in 2023. Verstappen's last chance will come at the 2023
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will be held on November 26th, 2023.
Despite initially not being very happy about the race and conditions in Las Vegas, the place that gave him his 18th win, after the race, the Dutch driver seemed to be very content with everything that happened during Saturday's race, and he even expressed the desire to come back.
"A great crowd. I hope everyone enjoyed it – we definitely did. I’m already excited to come back here next year and hopefully try to do something similar."
