Lewis Hamilton shared his opinion on the controversies that have taken place in Formula 1 over the last few weeks.

Besides the FIA president being under investigation, probably the biggest topic of the last two weeks is what is actually happening at the Red Bull Racing team.

The team principal, Christian Horner, has been cleared of all accusations, but the controversy surrounding him and the team continues to grow, with new rumors and speculations every day.

Lewis Hamilton reacted to everything that happened during the press day ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the second race of the 2024 season.

"As someone who loves the sport, it's definitely disappointing to see what's going on right now. It doesn't look good from the outside world, the outside looking in."

Following news that Horner retained his position, photos that were allegedly supposed to be used in his investigation were leaked to the media.

Then, Max Verstappen's father publicly spoke out against the team principal, saying that the Red Bull team would explode if he kept his position.

Lastly, it has been suggested that the situation is so bad that the triple World Champion and other key members might leave the team. Hamilton asserted F1 is at a pivotal moment.

"I think it's a really, really important time for the sport to really show and stick to its values, holding ourselves accountable for our actions."
"And it's a really, really pivotal moment, I think, for the sport, in terms of what we project to the world, and how it's handled. And it's not been handled very well to this point."

Many drivers and team principals have called for more transparency from the Red Bull Racing team, as it hasn't disclosed many details about the investigation or what is happening. The 39-year-old added:

"Transparency is really key. And I'm really, really hoping to see some progress moving forwards. I hope it's not a year that continues to go on with this. But it highlights some of the issues we also have within the sport."
