2024 Season Launch: LOCKED IN ππ
We have one more date to mark down in our calendars as two more Formula One teams followed Ferrari and announced their official season launch dates.
Season launches are the next best thing to look forward to for every single Formula One fan. These are the first times that the public will be able to observe the team's progress over the winter break.
The real Formula One race has just begun after the last Grand Prix of the season in Abu Dhabi as all F1 teams dived into super intense development competition.
The team that can make the greatest progress over the course of three months of the winter break will have the advantage in the first half of the season.
While some teams already shared they are seeing good progress in numbers from simulations, they won't reveal their new concepts until their official launch dates.
Scuderia Ferrari was the first team to share their car launch date as the team's principal, Frederic Vasseur, told the media it would be on the 13th of February.
Two more teams - Williams Racing and Alfa Romeo F1 team Stake/ Sauber have now joined and announced their official season launches will take place on the fifth of February. Both teams have shared announcement posts on their social media:
2024 Season Launch: LOCKED IN ππ
Buckle up, itβs almost time ππ¨ You donβt want to miss this one. 5.2.24
F1 teams usually try to push the car reveal date as close to pre-season testing as possible, and Vasseur mentioned his team would have logistical issues if they tried to do it even later than the 13th of February.
It is not clear yet whether Williams and Alfa Romeo/ Sauber will reveal their car concepts and liveries during their season launches on the 5th of February. A note-worthy thing is the funny GIF exchange between the two teams under Alfa Romeo's X (Twitter) post.
But when it comes to the car reveals, Williams especially should bring some exciting new changes as the team has been focused on the 2024 car development ever since the beginning of 2023. Which car unveil can you not wait for?
