Guenther Steiner discussed what he thinks current Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc can learn from Lewis Hamilton once he joins the Italian F1 team.
Charles Leclerc recently suggested that he doesn't think there will be anything that he will be able to teach the seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who will replace his teammate Carlos Sainz in 2025.
On the other hand, the Monegasque driver said he can't wait for the 39-year-old's arrival because he is curious to see what makes him so good and wants to see how he compares to the most successful driver in F1 history.
Former F1 team principal Guenther Steiner said on the Beyond The Grid Podcast that he believes consistency is one of the key aspects that makes Hamilton great and that Leclerc should learn from him.
"I think what Charles can learn from Lewis is Lewis rarely makes mistakes. He's a very complete driver. He's a very calculating, very complete driver. He's seen so much. He has done so much."
"But also outside of racing how he conducts himself. Still focused on racing but doing a lot of other stuff as well, sometimes you think [about] how does he do it all."
"But he's just well prepared, I think, and over the years, he learned that, and if Charles, who is a clever guy, will look at it and see, hey, I can have this success as well."
Former F1 driver David Coulthard recently shared his prediction for the matchup between Leclerc and Hamilton. He believed the 26-year-old driver had enough speed to be faster than the seven-time World Champion.
However, he said he believed Hamilton would get more wins throughout the season because of his consistency. Steiner agrees that Leclerc has the raw speed. He added:
"Driving-wise, I think Charles can pull something out of the bag as well. Driving-wise he's not behind Lewis."
"But Lewis as a race car driver is more complete. The speed is there but he's more complete than Charles because he's younger and he didn't have experience Lewis has got can learn from him."
