Red Bull Racing had another massively successful F1 season, and their team principal, Christian Horner was once again recognized by a British Monarch.
Back in 2013 during Birthday Honours, Queen Elizabeth II recognized Christian Edward Johnston Horner with OBE, which stands for Officer of the British Empire, in a year when the team won their fourth consecutive World Constructors' Championship.
Now, ten years later, when Red Bull Racing had another historic season, the 50-year-old was recognized once again, this time by King Charles III, receiving the CBE honour, which stands for Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
For Horner, receiving this honour is of big significance, and it's not surprising that Red Bull Racing also released a press statement which said that Horner's honour "again recognises his achievements in F1 and the wider motorsport industry."
"It was an unexpected distinction a decade ago to be presented with an OBE and to receive this second award, a CBE, is one for which I am hugely grateful and deeply honoured."
Although Red Bull Racing competes under Austrian license, the team is based in Milton Keynes, in England, in the United Kingdom, directly supporting the country's economy, which is one of the reasons why Horner's work has been recognized.
"It is a great privilege to lead and work alongside such a phenomenal team as Oracle Red Bull Racing and also to work in an industry that contributes so much to the United Kingdom’s economy."
For Horner, seeing results of his work is quite straightforward, when he looks into the World Constructors' Standings. But being recognized by the British Monarch is special also for the 50-year-old.
"I am enormously proud of what we have achieved with Red Bull in Formula 1 and in the wider high technology arena and I am hugely honoured to be recognised for that effort."
