Red Bull Racing is one of the youngest teams on the F1 grid, but it's already also one of the most successful teams.
Having entered the Formula One World Championship in 2005, the 2024 season is the 20th season of the Red Bull Racing, and it can also be their seventh season with a World Constructors' Championship title.
Incredibly, the team has finished among the best three teams in 14 of the 19 seasons they have competed in, and while doing so, they have also recorded many victories along the way.
At the 2024
Bahrain Grand Prix, Red Bull started with a solid one-two, when
Max Verstappen won the race, ahead of his teammate
Sergio Perez. It was the eighth consecutive win for the Dutch drive, who finished last season on a seven-race win streak.
The Dutch driver dominated everyone, and his race win was his 55th in his career. However, it was also the 114th team Grand Prix victory in total, which moved them up the history tables even further.
In the previous seasons, the Austrian team managed to surpass Lotus, which has been defunct since 1994 and has recorded 79 wins in 489 race starts in Formula One.
Red Bull has a much better statistic in this regard, winning 114 Grands Prix out of their 370 starts. Another team,
Williams, has the same amount of wins, and it's the British team that Red Bull matched with their latest victory.
Now, ahead of them are only three more teams, which are the three most successful teams in the sport's history. Naturally,
Ferrari, as the team with most race starts, has also most wins, with
McLaren in second position and
Mercedes third.
To catch up with Mercedes, Red Bull would need to win 11 more races, as the German team has collected a total of 125 winners' trophies. If the Austrian team has a similarly dominant season like last year, that can also be achievable in 2024, but the other two teams are far ahead.
Since Ferrari has been in Formula One since the very first season, it's not surprising that Red Bull would need almost a decade of dominance to catch up with the Italian team, which has racked up a total of 243 wins, 60 ahead of the second McLaren with 183.
