🚨 RB20 has the vertical inlets and now confirmed by the launch picture 🔥
Sergio Perez commented on the changes that have been applied to the RB20 car after the recent launch of Red Bull's 2024 challenger.
Yesterday, on the 15th of February, Red Bull finally officially unveiled their 2024 challenger. The Austrian team prepared the biggest launch event of all teams, but the most important was the new car.
It was expected that the team from Milton Keynes would apply rather conservative changes. Red Bull ended 2023 with an advantage over their rivals, so there was no point in taking big risks.
However, the Austrian team surprised everyone with a few bold and revolutionary changes. One of the team's two drivers, Sergio Perez, told the media at the event:
"I think it just shows the hunger in this team, we had such a dominant car last year you wouldn’t imagine us changing the concept so much. I think it’s really brave from Red Bull to do that."

The car that was unveiled at the launch was spotted at a shakedown two days earlier at the Silverstone Circuit. However, it was suggested that this is only Red Bull's launch-spec car, and it might change before the pre-season testing in Bahrain.
"It shows how much this team is ready to move forward, pushing the boundaries, it is great to see. I think we’ve taken some good steps forward, and it will be interesting to see what we are able to do for the coming weeks."
Red Bull Racing's team principal, Christian Horner, suggested during the winter break that his team would be nearing the top of the development curve and starting to see diminishing returns.
So, it is quite exciting to see how big of progress these aggressive changes can bring to Red Bull's next generation of cars. Perez added:
"I think it’s really important that we have a good base and we are able to develop it throughout the season with the team."
