A recent report suggests
Red Bull should deliver the verdict on the investigation of
Christian Horner either on Tuesday, the 27th, or Wednesday, the 28th.
Christian Horner has been under investigation by Red Bull Racing for inappropriate behavior towards a female employee ever since the beginning of February.
This investigation was first expected to be concluded within a week. However, it got stretched out to the point where some of
Red Bull's partners and
F1 management started calling for a resolution as soon as possible.
The 50-year-old, in the meantime, remained in his position and was present at the launch of RB20 and the pre-season testing at
Bahrain International Circuit.
It wasn't clear whether Red Bull would deliver a verdict even before the first race weekend of the season, which starts on Thursday this week, but a recent report from Sky Sports suggests they will.
The investigation that was carried out by a specialist barrister is reportedly completed now. According to Sky Sports, an extensive report that runs "well over 100 pages" has been created.
It is supposed to be in the hands of the Red Bull GmbH (Red Bull Racing's parent company) board, which will assess the details and deliver the verdict on whether the team principal gets to keep his role within the team.
As Sky Sports suggests, Red Bull is expected to communicate the decision today (Tuesday, the 27th) or tomorrow (Wednesday, the 28th).
Horner is currently in the UK, so the decision is supposed to be delivered before he returns to Bahrain for the first race weekend of the season - the 2024
Bahrain Grand Prix.
However, it is not expected that the final statement from Red Bull would go too much into the investigation details as matters of confidentiality will likely limit the amount of information shared.
