Former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan identified one driver who he believes will be one of the "all-time future kings" of Formula One.

Eddie Jordan used to own a Formula One team called the Jordan Grand Prix. This team was famous for giving a chance to younger upcoming drivers, and throughout its 15 years of existence, many super famous drivers got their first shot right here.

The list of drivers who drove for the Jordan Grand Prix included Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Martin Brundle, Giancarlo Fisichella, Damon Hill, Ralf Schumacher, Jarno Trulli, Timo Glock, and many more.

Eddie Jordan knows a lot when it comes to picking drivers with huge potential and speaking on one of the latest episodes of the Formula for Success podcast, he suggested Oscar Piastri is one of the future legends in the making.

"He [Piastri] suffered badly in Austria with the track limits. At Silverstone, he had to do a lap in a basically undriveable situation on slick tires, and that is the most uncomfortable thing because you need to keep the car on the track."
"I think with all that he is learning, the downsides and the things that are really hurting him at the moment, I must tell you I think he is learning a huge amount from it. He is learning from McLaren, of course, and he is learning from Lando [Norris]."

Piastri is currently driving his second season in Formula One. He stands fifth in the Drivers' Championship and has already scored two second-place finishes in 2024.

Although he is being outperformed by his much more experienced teammate at this moment, Jordan believes the 23-year-old has a bright future ahead of him.

"This is just me looking into my crystal ball in the future, but I am absolutely certain he will be a world champion within a very short number of years."
"He has everything I think a world champion should have, and he is now gaining so much experience and confidence in that team. I have no doubt that he is going to be one of the all-time future kings of our sport."
