The age of all drivers in Formula One currently ranges from 22 to 42 years old. Here is a summary of all drivers and their ages:

The youngest driver on the grid is a rookie from the 2023 season - Oscar Piastri. The Australian driver is incredibly 20 years younger than Fernando Alonso.

Fernando Alonso is currently the oldest driver on the Formula One grid, and many of the younger ones grew up as fanboys of the Spanish Matador.

AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda and Williams driver Logan Sargeant are both the same age, but the Japanese driver finished his third season in F1 as opposed to the American for whom the 2024 season will be the second in his career.

Lando Norris and Zhou Guanyu are both 24 at the time of writing this article, but both will turn 25 during the 2024 season, as they were born in 1999.

As you can notice in the table below, many of the Formula One drivers on the grid are similar ages, around 27-28. These drivers all used to compete against each other, even in go-karts or rookie series like F3 or F2.

George Russell, Lance Stroll, Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly, and Alex Albon all knew each other before they made it to F1 because of their similar age.

Carlos Sainz is currently 29 but will turn magical 30 in 2024. Now, we enter the older and more experienced drivers on the grid.

Haas drivers complete the oldest line-up on F1 Grid. Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen are also the only driver duo on the grid who are both fathers.

Another driver who is already a father is Sergio Perez, who is currently 33 and will turn 34 next year. Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas are both one year older than the Mexican.

The seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton is currently the second oldest driver on the grid. He will turn 39 next year and plans to race for Mercedes even in 2025, when he will turn 40.

Age all F1 drivers will reach in the year 2024 from youngest to oldest:
