Frederic Vasseur stated every team in Formula One would like to have the three-time World Champion Max Verstappen.
Max Verstappen won his third consecutive Championship title in 2023. The Dutchman currently seems to have no match on the F1 grid, and while the Red Bull seat is the most attractive one at the moment, many drivers would fear direct comparison to the 26-year-old.
Former Red Bull Racing driver Christian Klein suggested Verstappen broke his teammate Sergio Perez this season as the Mexican driver realized he couldn't beat the Dutchman.
While not many drivers dream of being Verstappen's teammates, Scuderia Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur suggested every single team principal would like to have the triple World Champion on their team.
Asked by motorsport.com whether he would like to have the Dutchman in Ferrari, he responded: "Every Team In Formula One Would Like To Have Verstappen."
Red Bull recognized Verstappen's talent and skills early on and made a clever move to secure the Dutchman with a long contract that lasted until the end of season 2028.
The 26-year-old has only been in the Red Bull family since joining F1. In his first season, the Dutchman raced for Toro Rosso, and in his second season, he got a chance to show his skills in Red Bull Racing.
The triple World Champion won his first race for Red Bull and has remained with the team ever since. Vasseur suggested it is better for Ferrari to focus on who they have inside their team at the moment.
"Max has a contract until 2028 at Red Bull. We have to focus on ourselves and work on our own things, thinking about who is in the team."
With Verstappen being contracted to the team from Milton Keynes until the end of season 2028, there is not much to discuss. On the other hand, the team principal didn't reject the possibility of having the Dutchman on his team in the future.
"It's not just about the drivers, but we have to look at the whole. So for now, it's not something we have to discuss. But I also say never say never."
