Max Verstappen responded to questions concerning
Christian Horner's investigation, which was still in the process during pre-season testing in Bahrain.
The first time we found out about the allegations and the investigation of the
Red Bull Racing team principal, Christian Horner, was about 20 days ago, on February 5th.
Back then, the notion was it would be a straightforward process and that we would know the answer in a few days. However, the investigation has taken much longer than initially expected.
So far, the 50-year-old continues in his position of team principal as he retains his innocence. But, if proven guilty, it is expected Horner would have to step down.
When Max Verstappen was asked to comment on the matter during the testing days at Bahrain International Circuit, he told the media:
"It's better that I just focus on my own performance because that's already a day job. But I guess, of course, for everyone, it's nice of course when things are resolved, but that's the only thing that I can say about that."
The triple World Champion more or less refused to comment as he asserted the primary goal of everyone in Red Bull at this point in time is delivering the fastest car and the best results possible.
"Everyone who's here they're all focusing on the performance of the car, as they should. Everyone knows their role, and everyone is very focused on trying to make the whole package faster."
The first Grand Prix weekend of the season starts with a Free Practice session on the 29th of February. The ideal scenario would be if the investigation were concluded until then, but it is understood it might take even longer.
