Aston Martin F1 team principal Mike Krack reacted to Lance Stroll pushing his personal trainer angrily after unsuccessful qualifying ahead of the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix.

After a series of not-so-successful weekends, Lance Stroll came to Qatar to end his negative streak. The Canadian driver previously withdrew from the Singapore Grand Prix after a crash in qualifying.

Then, during the Japanese Grand Prix, Lance Stroll had to retire his car. The weekend in Qatar was his chance for redemption. However, Stroll got off to a negative start right away as he qualified in 17th position.

Nevertheless, what upset most of the Formula One fans about the 24-year-old was the way he handled this situation. After getting out of the car, Stroll shoved his personal trainer (who was trying to get him to the mandatory FIA weighbridge) out of the way.

Since then, Stroll reportedly apologized to his trainer Henry Howe, with whom he is like brothers, and said he expects revenge in the form of a tough training session. Mike Krack also commented on the matter as he told the media:

"I’m sure we run 10-20 times less adrenaline on the pit wall than the drivers do, but you put the microphone straight away in front of them, or you gauge every reaction that they do."

Sebastian Vettel famously criticized a reporter (for asking Lewis Hamilton about swearing) during a post-race conference in the past where he said drivers run a lot of adrenaline and they will, of course, say mean things as all ordinary people do under such conditions.

The Aston Martin principal also thinks it is hard for people watching TV to relate to the situation that drivers go through and urges F1 fans to "have a bit more respect for the drivers."

"We want to see it because then we have something to talk about, but I think it goes one step too far that people sit down on a sofa or in an air-conditioned room and say, 'This is too much,' or, 'You cannot do that.' I think we need to have a bit more respect for the drivers."
