Alfa Romeo F1 team unveiled a special car livery designed exclusively for the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix at Las Vegas Strip Circuit.
With the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix being the most glamorous weekend of the 2023 season, multiple teams on the grid prepared special liveries for the race.
While seeing a special livery is not completely unusual, teams usually stick to their true tones and colors and don't deviate too much from original concepts.
However, the Alfa Romeo team went all-in with their design for the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix. The striking black livery with golden touches topped the efforts of all the remaining teams on the grid.
The team, which is currently ninth in the Constructors' Championship, will want to show this livery in Sin City and score valuable points to protect their position. Alfa Romeo engineering director Xevi Pujolar told the media, according to f1i.com:
"We've got a lot of question marks about this track. But with the situation that we're in at the moment, I think we need a big challenge on the engineering side and on the driver's side just to make sure that we've got an opportunity to change the championship order."
The Las Vegas Strip Circuit is unfamiliar territory for every single team and driver on the track. Multiple concerns have been raised in relation to the qualification and the race on Sunday.
One of the main problems expected to give drivers a harder time will be the low temperatures. It remains a question of how much grip the drivers will have and how much tire degradation teams should expect. Pujolar added:
"The higher difficulty and everything being a bit uncertain, is I think where we get a better chance. We need Vegas to be a very difficult weekend for everyone and just make sure that we take advantage of it. That's our challenge now."
