Max Verstappen has been the most dominant driver in Formula One in recent years, and that dominance is likely to continue also in 2024.
No driver has ever managed to win 19 F1 races in a single season before, and no other team won 21 races in one season. That's how dominant Red Bull was in 2023, and it's very likely that their dominance will continue in 2024.
Only recently, the team has revealed the launch date of their new RB20 car, and Jake Dennis, their development driver, and one of the people who got to work on the car, predicted how the upcoming season may go.
Dennis, who is driving in Formula E, spoke to Mirror about his career, but also his work with Red Bull and the upcoming season, in which the Austrian team with a base in the United Kingdom will attempt to win their fourth consecutive World Drivers' Championship.
According to Dennis, who drove RB19 in Abu Dhabi last year, the 2024 F1 season will likely be dull because of Verstappen's dominance.
"I think it's going to be quite a dull season in Formula 1 with Max probably dominating."
One thing that Dennis has in common with Verstappen is that the two will be driving with number 1 on their car in the 2024 season, as they are both reigning champions.
While the Dutch driver became a three-time Formula One World Champion, Dennis won his maiden Formula E World Championship, and he's excited to attempt to defend his title next season.
"I'm eager to get going. I'm excited to have the number one on my car and to go there and as the reigning champion. There's a target on our back but, nevertheless, I'm just excited. I think everyone in the team and in the championship is just eager to get going now."
