Former F1 driver Karun Chandok revealed yet another incredible statistic after the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix that only underlines Max Verstappen's dominance.

Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen has yet another successful weekend behind him. He won both the Sprint race on Saturday and the Grand Prix race on Sunday.

After this fifth race weekend of the season, he stands first in the Drivers' Championship, 25 points ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez in P2, and 34 points ahead of Charles Leclerc in third place.

It looked like Ferrari was getting closer to Red Bull in Australia, and many fans were hopeful the Maranello team could challenge Verstappen for the win on a few more occasions.

However, the newly revealed statistic from the Chinese Grand Prix might destroy all hopes. Former F1 driver Karun Chandhok revealed on his X (formerly Twitter):

"Here's an impressive stat I heard today. On not a single lap of the entire Chinese GP did Max do a slower lap time than the drivers who finished second, third or fourth."

Not a single slower lap underlines how consistent and quick at the same time the triple World Champion is with his RB 20.

Verstappen also helped Red Bull achieve their 100th pole position during the most recent race weekend while scoring his fifth consecutive Grand Prix pole position of the year.

As it stands, it looks like Red Bull, with Verstappen behind the wheel, is still at least two steps ahead of everyone else in the rest of the field.

Lando Norris summed it up nicely after the race when he said that whenever he finishes behind the 26-year-old Red Bull F1 driver, it feels like a victory for him.

On the other hand, both his McLaren team and Ferrari have promised major upgrades in the upcoming two race weekends in Miami and Imola, which they hope will help them get closer to the team from Milton Keynes.
