Red Bull Racing is interested in Franco Colapinto. However, it seems Helmut Marko and Christian Horner do not agree on what exactly they want to do with the F1 driver.

Franco Colapinto jumped into the Williams seat following the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix, replacing the previous driver, Logan Sargeant.

Colapinto had no previous experience in F1. No one had too high expectations from him, and he surprised everyone with how closely matched he is to Williams's number one driver, Alex Albon.

In his first six Grand Prix races, Colapinto scored five points (his predecessor scored 1 point in 1,5 seasons), and his current head-to-head score with Albon is 3-2.

Unfortunately for the Argentinian driver, there is no space at Williams for him for next year as Carlos Sainz will join the team. On the other hand, that might open up a new opportunity at Red Bull Racing.

Speculations throughout the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend suggested the team from Milton Keynes might be interested in Colapinto as a potential replacement for Sergio Perez.

Christian Horner was spotted on his way out of the Williams hospitality during the weekend as he went to have a chat with Williams' team principal, James Vowles.

We can only guess what the conversation was about. When asked what they talked about with Horner, Vowles joked that he signed a new coffee brand partner and that the team principal of Red Bull Racing wanted to taste their coffee.

According to the Brazilian branch of Motorsport.com, Red Bull leaders Helmut Marko and Christian Horner disagree on who should potentially replace Perez.

While Marko would like to promote a rookie from Red Bull academy - Liam Lawson, Horner would rather keep Lawson in RB and replace Perez with Colapinto in order to "maximize the financial potential of Colapinto."

The 21-year-old became extremely popular in Argentina and all throughout Central and South America, which is where many of Red Bull's sponsors come from.
