The team principal of Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner advised George Russell what he should do amid drama with Max Verstappen.

Following the criticism from Max Verstappen, who stated after the Qatar Grand Prix that George Russell was a two-faced person who behaves differently in front of cameras, the Mercedes driver hit back at the Dutchman.

During the press day ahead of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Russell went on a long rant, hitting back at the four-time World Champion.

The Mercedes driver stated that Verstappen threatened to put his head into a "fu****g wall" at the start of the Grand Prix and that he was aggressive in the stewards's room, swearing a lot.

Moreover, Russell said that the 27-year-old has been bullying other drivers on track for a long time now; he thinks he's "above the law" and that he can perhaps "get away with a murder."

The Mercedes driver also suggested that Max Verstappen has been super aggressive not only towards others but also his own team and that a quarter of his mechanics wanted to leave after the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix.

The team principal of Red Bull Racing, who, in the meantime, has had a little spat with the Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, commented on the situation for Sky Sports F1, as he shared some advice for George Russell:

"Normally these things, rather than doing it through the media, just go and have a conversation: talk about it man to man, face to face."
"If you've got something to say, say it. Rather than 'he said, she said,' far better to address it that way. They've raced each other since they were kids."
"They've known each other a lot, as these drivers many of them do, and I think many of these situations are often better dealt with on the paddle court."

In the meantime, Max Verstappen reacted to everything that Russell said about him, suggesting that the Mercedes driver made up and cobbled multiple things together that don't even add up.

Concerning Russell's claim about Verstappen's swearing during the meeting with FIA stewards, Sky Sports commentator David Croft said that his information suggests there was no swearing, clearing the Dutchman of this accusation.

Christian Horner also added that he doesn't believe it would be Verstappen who would be living in this case, as the Dutchman has a reputation for being honest and not being afraid to always say what he thinks.

"He's got no reason to lie. He's never lied before. He'll tell you straight. Of course, Max wasn't the only one in that stewards' room."
"Both the guys with him on our side came back and they were a bit 'wow, that was pretty punchy of how George approached that.'"
"It's one of those things. I think the access you guys get compared to any other sport… put a camera in a changing room at a football match. I'm sure there would be a bit of lively language there as well."
"We're just focused on going racing, finishing off the season on a high note."
"George had a bit of a rant yesterday, he was ranting in the car last weekend at his team for putting the wrong tires on and whatever else. He's obviously a bit wound up at the moment."
