Ralf Schumacher (ex-F1 driver) suggested that Max Verstappen "wants to leave" Red Bull, and now it's just a matter of time.

The triple World Champion was rumored to be considering an exit from the Austrian team amid all the drama and power struggle taking place behind the scenes.

But that was about a month ago. In the meantime, the situation seemed to have calmed down, and he said he is happy to continue with Red Bull as long as nothing changes, no one has to leave, and the focus is on racing.

However, that is clearly not the case, as the team from Milton Keynes just announced the departure of one of the team's most valuable assets, chief technical officer Adrian Newey.

The reason for his exit? While the official press release didn't mention it, speculation suggests it has to do with conflicts inside the team.

Will this now influence the triple World Champion's decision? Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher believes it is certain he wants to leave. He told Sky Germany:

"I also think he has other options. In the paddock, you already hear stories about him talking to others. The question is whether it will happen next year or the year after, but for me it is certain that he wants to leave."

Max Verstappen's father, Jos Verstappen, previously warned that the team was in danger of being torn apart, and it seems he was right. Schumacher added that it's sad to see what is happening with the championship-winning team.

"Engineers are leaving who want to go somewhere else together with Adrian Newey. The team spirit is no longer what Dietrich Mateschitz would have wanted. What is happening now is really a shame and sad."
"It is very disappointing that it is now falling apart because of people who were given the opportunity by Mateschitz, while at the core they were just employees It's unbelievable. I have no words for it.
