Red Bull's F1 driver Max Verstappen discussed who he would choose in his team to compete in 24 hours of Le Mans.

Max Verstappen made it clear early on in his career that he doesn't plan to stay in Formula 1 for too long. His dream is to also compete in many different series.

The Dutchman said he achieved everything he ever wanted when he won his first title, and he's already working on his own GT3 team.

Le Mans is a legendary race that is not missing from the 26-year-old's checklist, and when he was asked by Jarno Opmeer (on the sim racer's YouTube channel) about his dream line-up for the competition, he said:

"If I look around now, one I would like to have on my team is Nyck de Vries. He's fast, and he's very light, and, when you're fast and light around Le Mans, of course, it's great."

Nyck De Vries did not fare too well in F1; however, he has found quite a bit of success success in other series. He won Formula 2 and Formula E, scored second place in the FIA Endurance Championship with Toyota Gazoo Racing, and also finished second in Le Mans last year. Plus, he's a great friend of Verstappen.

Max Verstappen would also include the most experienced F1 driver ever in his lineup - Fernando Alonso. The double World Champion has already won Le Mans twice and has talked with the Red Bull Racing driver about doing it again.

"I keep joking with Fernando that we would like to do it together so that would be pretty cool. So that's three drivers already."

Last but not least, Verstappen would also want his father, Jos (who is a former F1 driver who also already won the 24 hours of Le Mnas), to complete the lineup.

"I keep telling my dad that we have to do it – he doesn't want to do it, but I would add him in as a fourth. It would be a fun week, that's for sure."

Although the 26-year-old would love it if his father completed the dream team, Verstappen Sr might need a bit more convincing. When asked most recently about the possibility of doing Le Mans with his son, he said, as per PlanetF1:

"No, I enjoy rallying. Let the young guys race at Le Mans; I find rallying much more exciting."
