AlphaTauri F1 driver Yuki Tsunoda responded to speculations in relation to his move to Aston Martin before the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix.
After Aston Martin moved to partner with Honda to build engines for the team in 2026, Yuki Tsunoda has naturally been connected with the team.
Honda has backed Yuki Tsunoda from his earlier career, and it seems like a move to Aston Martin might be the next natural step for the Japanese driver. Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko recently addressed the situation with Tsunoda in an interview with F1-insider.

"Tsunoda is under contract with us. If Aston Martin were interested in him as early as next year, they would first have to come to an agreement with us."

While this statement highlights that Tsunoda has a valid contract with AlphaTauri (until the end of the 2024 season), Marko does seem to be open to negotiations.
In an interview before the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix, Yuki Tsunoda told the press he is an AlphaTauri driver in the first place and focuses on his performances with the team in the first place.

"The main thing is, I don’t want Red Bull to misunderstand something. For example, that I’m just focusing now on Aston Martin or anything. I’m in AlphaTauri, and I’ve been with Red Bull since I was 18 years old. I’m focusing on performing for Red Bull. Not for Aston Martin or something like that."

The Japanese driver emphasized he did not want any misunderstandings. The number 22 driver hinted he would be also interested in a Red Bull seat. Helmut Marko said in a recent interview for OE24Perez "needs a change in climate and team."
This statement suggests that the second seat in Red Bull might be up for grabs pretty soon, and as an AlphaTauri driver, Tsunoda might have a decent chance of getting it.

"Hopefully, they [Red Bull] haven’t misunderstood those things, and hopefully, they really consider my future seriously. If I perform better than other drivers, then hopefully they consider more."
