Former F1 driver Timo Glock recently said the Red Bull Racing team is the most impressive team in the last two decades in a few aspects.
The Red Bull Racing team has been upsetting many F1 fans with its absolute dominance over the course of the last two seasons, 2022 and 2023.
Red Bull broke the record for the most consecutive wins as a team starting from the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix up until the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix won by Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz.
The team also broke the record for the most Championship points in a single season. The number currently stands at 782 points, with two races still remaining until the end of the season.
The main driving forces behind this success have been the fastest car, great race strategies, the best pit-stops, and the driver - Max Verstappen.
Former F1 driver Timo Glock recently discussed how we have seen a few periods in which various teams dominated the sport and how different each of them has been. He told the LuckyBlock:
"I think there are different eras in F1 and it's hard to compare. Teams have dominated before, like McLaren under Senna, and then Williams were dominating. Red Bull have dominated twice now."
Red Bull has had one dominant era before in years from 2010 to 2013 with Sebastian Vettel winning four consecutive World Championships. But the last two years have just been insane in terms of consistency.
"If we consider how new Red Bull are to Formula 1, we can make a strong case that they're on top of their game and perhaps the greatest team."
As opposed to other teams, Red Bull does not seem to be making any strategy mistakes during the races, always makes the right calls, never has technical issues, and has the fastest pit stops. Glock added:
"They're at the top of their game strategy-wise and pit-stop-wise, and if I take the last two decades, Red Bull are the most impressive team."
On top of everything, the team has one of the best drivers Formula One has ever seen, who can finish in first place no matter the circumstances. The question is, can Red Bull keep this going in season 2024 and beyond?
