Former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer shared "the only thing" that he would like to see Max Verstappen change in 2025.

Former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer praised Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen in his recent article for Formula 1's official website.

In 2024, Verstappen added the fourth consecutive and very valuable title to his collection after one of his most challenging seasons.

Although he started the year with the dominant car, that quickly changed, and the 27-year-old showed that he can consistently finish on podiums and sometimes even win races even without the fastest car on the grid.

Remarkably, team principals of all ten F1 teams unanimously agreed that the four-time world champion was the best driver of 2024.

All F1 experts agree that the Dutchman's performance was incredible. Former F1 driver and Formula 1 co-commentator Jolyon Palmer wrote that he would now rank Verstappen among the legendary names of Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, and Ayrton Senna.

"I think it's hard to argue he's not in the absolute top tier right now with the likes of Hamilton, Senna and Schumacher."
"The level he is performing at is relentlessly formidable. In 2024, the field has never been more competitive, yet he's managed to instill the fear factor into his rivals."
"In terms of ability he's got everything and he's consistent with it, there just aren't any weaknesses."

While Palmer said that Verstappen doesn't have any weaknesses, the former F1 driver found one aspect that he would change about the Red Bull Racing driver moving forward.

"The only thing I'd personally like to see is him racing slightly fairer in the heat of a championship battle."
"You could argue that this is an asset of his, to be ruthless as well and push the limits, but he certainly does that more than other title contenders in recent memory."
