The Free Practice session charts have been topped by Max Verstappen for the third consecutive this weekend in Mexico City, with the Dutchman achieving a lap of 1.17.887.
The second position has been for the second time occupied by
Alex Albon on
Williams, showing great potential for the Qualifying session and Sunday's race.
The home hero
Sergio Perez achieved third place just 0.1 seconds behind his teammate. Perez will be looking to compete with Verstappen during his "
most important weekend" this year.
A team to look out for based on the FP3 results is
AlphaTauri. Both
Yuki Tsunoda and
Daniel Ricciardo put their cars into the top ten.
While Ferrari did not look as bad after practice sessions one and two, Leclerc's comments on the slower pace of Ferrari seemed to weigh on the team in FP 3, with both drivers in the bottom half.
Carlos Sainz destroyed his tires when he was sent spinning while trying to avoid
Lance Stroll, whose
Aston Martin stood in the way of the Ferrari driver.
Both Aston Martin and
Alpine showed little pace in the last practice session, with all of their drivers ranking outside the top ten.
