Logan Sargeant addressed his demotion at Williams Racing F1 team, but his response has since been deleted. You can find what he said here.

The 23-year-old American F1 driver Logan Sargeant has been replaced by Williams Racing following the 15th round of the season at Circuit Zandvoort.

Based on his answer in the interview right after the race, he might not have known it, but the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix was the last weekend he would compete in F1.

What led to his replacement was pretty clear: Logan Sargeant has not performed at the level that was expected of him at Williams.

In 36 race weekends, he didn't manage to outqualify his teammate Alex Albon in Grand Prix qualifying, and his incidents cost Williams millions of dollars in car damage ($3 million, according to RacingNews365).

The American driver was not quoted in the statement shared on Williams Racing's official website, where the team officially announced that Logan Sargeant would be replaced by Franco Colapinto.

However, he did address the situation with a message he shared through his app, which has since been deleted. According to RacingNews365, it read:

Logan Sargeant's deleted response to Williams dismissal:

"Hi everyone, After today's news, I wanted to say that I am super thankful to Williams Racing for giving me my first opportunity in Formula 1."
"I am so grateful for the support I received from everyone at the team from the moment I first joined the Academy back in 2021."
"Going on to drive an F1 car for the first time in Abu Dhabi was the experience of a lifetime, while becoming the first American points scorer for 30 years in Austin last season was a really special moment."
"I am proud to have represented such a historic team over the last two seasons. For now, I will be taking time to assess my options, before making an announcement on my future in due course. Thank you."
