Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc suggested he expects to see Red Bull in a form similar to the first two races of the season.
Going into the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix, Ferrari is in second place in the Constructors' Championship, 49 points behind leader Red Bull Racing.
Forty-nine points is a good margin, but definitely not enough for Red Bull to think they have the Championship title in their pocket.
What is positive for the team from Milton Keynes is that Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya should suit them much more. However, Red Bull will be in danger if Ferrari can be competitive at this track because Barcelona tends to be a good representation of what is to come in the following circuits.
Speaking to the media ahead of the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc asserted he expects the Austrian team to show the kind of performance that we have seen at the start of the season. As reported by Crash.net, he said:

"Me personally, and I am not speaking on behalf of the team, but my personal opinion is that we will see a stronger Red Bull and a Red Bull that we have seen at the beginning of the season back here in Barcelona."

In the first race- Bahrain, Max Verstappen crossed the finish line 25 seconds ahead of the first non-Red Bull driver. In the second race- Saudi Arabia, he crossed the finish line 18 seconds ahead of the first non-Red Bull driver.

"Just because the track layout normally Red Bull is very fast around here. I do also believe that the last four races from Miami to the last race in Canada was a lot about kerb riding - and it's probably not the one strength of Red Bull."

On the other hand, Ferrari is bringing a significant upgrade to the circuit in Barcelona, which could reportedly translate into a time gain of two-tenths of a second (big progress). The Monegasque added:

"I believe we will see them back to a true, really good level this weekend. However, we still have some new parts in the car for this weekend."

"If that helps us to be very close here, it's a good sign for the rest because normally, Barcelona is quite representative for the rest of the season. It's going to be an interesting weekend so if we're in the fight here it's a good sign for the rest of the season."
