In the most recent interview, Charles Leclerc was asked whether the arrival of Lewis Hamilton at Scuderia Ferrari is a good thing, and he shared his view.

It is currently summer break in the middle of the 2024 season, and only then will Grand Prix races remain before it ends, and Charles Leclerc's teammate Carlos Sainz will be replaced by Lewis Hamilton.

The seven-time World Champion is the most successful driver in F1 history, and his arrival to the most successful team, Ferrari, is a huge thing.

As it stands, no one knows how the 39-year-old will settle into the team and how this combination will turn out. His future teammate, Leclerc, was asked by Motorsport.com whether the arrival of Hamilton is a good thing, and he replied:

"Of course. But I want to say that I am very happy with the way I worked with Carlos, he is an incredible driver and we overcame very difficult moments during our experience at Ferrari."
"And it is also thanks to his contribution that we are improving, we have always worked well together. At the same time, when you have a seven-time world champion joining the team it is always good news, very interesting and very motivating."

Leclerc has already partnered with experienced (four-time) world champion- Sebastian Vettel in Ferrari for two seasons. In both of these, the Monegasque finished on top.

Despite his pretty successful record, he remained humble and suggested that he was looking forward to learning from one of the best. On the other hand, he can't wait to see how he compares to the seven-time World Champion.

"It is interesting because I will be able to learn from one of the best drivers in the entire history of F1, and it is very motivating because I am intrigued by the comparison with Lewis with the same car."
"For these two reasons I can't wait to start this new chapter, but I still want to say that I have always had a great time with Carlos too."
