Scuderia Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur was in no mood to answer Lewis Hamilton-Ferrari-related questions after the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix.
The team from Maranello made the decision to sign the seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton instead of Carlos Sainz (for 2025) ahead of the season 2024.
However, the Spanish driver still has one more season with Ferrari, and ever since he learned his contract was not prolonged, he has only been proving to the team that he totally deserved the seat.
Ferrari extended the contract of his teammate Charles Leclerc, but Sainz beat the Monegasque driver 2-1 in qualifying head-to-head and 3-0 in race results head-to-head so far.
Inevitably, the Italian team started being questioned as to whether they believed they had made the right decision to replace Sainz with a Mercedes driver, who, in turn, has not been doing well at all ever since the start of this season.
While Sainz stood on the podium in every single race that he attended so far, Hamilton's best finishing position was P7 in Bahrain. Part of that is influenced by a slower car, but the 39-year-old is also being outperformed by his younger teammate at the same time.
After the most recent race in Japan, where Sainz finished third and Hamilton ninth, Fred Vasseur was asked about "alternative reality where you hadn't already signed Lewis Hamilton for 2025."
However, the Ferrari team principal didn't even let the reporter finish the question and interrupted him, saying: "We have the same question each weekend. Do a copy paste of my reply of last week, next one."
Hamilton also showed his irritation with Ferrari-related questions when he was asked whether he was jealous of watching the Maranello team perform so strongly.
The seven-time world Champion snapped back at the reporter, saying: "Do you have any better questions?" and then he walked away.
