The highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix is almost here, and even though the Championship is already decided, F1 fans expect an enormous show both on and off track.
The first interesting factor that might play a role during the race is that this Las Vegas Strip Circuit is new to every single driver on the grid. The adaptability of the drivers might, therefore, play a role.
Another factor that will play a role is the low temperatures that are expected. The fact that the race will take place at
night will not contribute very positively to the low temperatures.
The combination of low temperatures and the nature of the circuit - very fast with long straight and not too many corners might make it very difficult for drivers to keep their tires warm.
Multiple drivers have already started preparing for the Grand Prix by driving on their simulators. On the other hand, Max Verstappen does not seem to be too worried. As quoted by
speedcafe.com, he said:
"I still need to go on the simulator. I still don’t even know the track, to be honest. The last time I tried it on the F1 game, I think I hit more walls than I was going straight. Let’s hope that’s not the case when I start driving there."
There are many unknowns that might make the race a lot more exciting. The three-time World Champion himself said, "It's going to be very different."
"But it’s going to be very different – very low temperatures in the night there, a street circuit. We have no experience there. We don’t know the track grip. It’s all new, so maybe it will give you a few surprises."
