According to calculations, Adrian Newey's newly released Red Bull hypercar, the RB17, would set the pole position time at the 2024 British Grand Prix.
The man who stands behind most of Red Bull's F1 success in 2010-2013 and 2022-2024, Adrian Newey has for some time been working on an incredible project called RB17.
RB17 is Red Bull's first Hypercar, and it is Newey's last project with the team from Milton Keynes before he leaves at the start of 2025.
RB17 was just revealed at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, shocking the World of motorsport. Although this car was expected to be incredible, it still surpassed its hype.

RB 17 Stats:

The RB17 features a naturally aspirated V10 that revs up to 15,000 RPM (1000 HP) and, combined with its electric motor (200 HP), produces 1,200 PH.
What is even more incredible is that this car weighs 900 kg (1984 lbs). It can deliver speeds above 350kph (217 mph) and, according to its designer, comparable lap times to F1 cars.
RB17 generates 1,700 kg (3,750 lbs) of downforce at 240 km/h (150mph), which is one key reason it could compete with F1 cars. In fact, Newey suggested it would be faster than any F1 car at the 2024 British Grand Prix qualifying.
“"Ultimately, it's adaptable enough so the driver can drive the car that, according to all our simulations with drivers in the loop, it would've been on the pole at Silverstone last weekend."”
“"Without that Formula 1 experience, we can't design this car; the way we research the car over that three-year period, then the detail design, manufacturer, and assembly of the car are all Formula 1 techniques, which is one of the reasons for limiting it to 50 cars."”
“"By limiting it to 50 cars, we can manufacture the principal parts in-house just as we do in Formula 1, and for other parts, we'll use the same suppliers in Formula 1, so the assembly of the car can also be the same as we do in Formula 1."”
What might be the price tag for this masterpiece? RB17 will be sold for £5,75 million ($7,3 million)
