Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds put a massive bet on Max Verstappen winning the title during the 2024 F1 World Championship.

The pre-season testing in Bahrain is done, and only a few days remain before the first race of the season in Bahrain. Currently, all teams, drivers, and F1 fans are now trying to assess the pecking order.

From the early reactions of the drivers during and right after the testing, it seems they expect Red Bull to have the upper hand just like they did during the previous season.

While many of them hope to catch up with Red Bull through aggressive development at least later in the season, Fernando Alonso suggested they are starting to feel they won't have a chance against Verstappen.

The CEO of Formula E, Jeff Dodds, is of a similar opinion. In a recent interview with TNT Sports, he asserted he is so confident that he will donate $ 250,000 to a charity of choice if the Dutchman doesn't achieve his fourth title. He said:

"99 percent he gets that trophy. I’ll tell you what, so if he doesn’t win it, there are 19 other drivers, if any one of the other 19 drivers win it, we’ll give a quarter of a million dollars to the charity of choice of the driver that does win it."

On the one hand, the CEO explained donating money to the charity wouldn't be a massive loss for him. On the other hand, he is confident the 26-year-old Red Bull driver will snatch the title in 2024.

"It wouldn’t be the worst day in the office to give a load of money to charity, but absolutely, he is nailed on to win that season."

Verstappen won 19 out of 22 races in 2023, and Red Bull won 21 out of 22 races in that season overall. Dodds added he can't imagine Red Bull coming from the most dominant season in F1 history and losing the Championship all of a sudden.

"You can't win 19 out of 22 races in one season, go into off season, bit of development going on the cars, come back for the next one, and not win it. I just can't see it."
