Carlos Sainz issued a short response to recent news that uncovered the 2024 season with Scuderia Ferrari would be his last.

Yesterday was quite a hectic day. First, in the morning, speculations arose that Lewis Hamilton might be in serious negotiations with Ferrari over the potential seat in 2024.

There have been similar speculations in the past, so it wasn't taken completely seriously. But over the course of the day, the news gained traction and skip to evening, we got the official announcement!

Now it is clear that the seven-time World Champion will be leaving his Mercedes team after the end of the season 2024 to join the Prancing Horse.

This means the team will no longer continue with Carlos Sainz, and he will have to find himself a place in another team. The Spanish driver issued a response on his social media, saying:

"Following today's news, Scuderia Ferrari and myself will part ways at the end of 2024."

The strange thing about yesterday's announcement is that both drivers and their teams will have to go through season 2024 with their "EXs," knowing they are parting ways in the end. The 29-year-old added:

"We still have a long season ahead of us, and, like always, I will give my absolute best for the Team and for the Tifosi all around the world. News about my future will be announced in due course."

Hamilton's sudden interest in the Ferrari seat suggests that the Italian team could have quite a decent car in the upcoming two seasons.

If the seven-time World Champion is willing to switch teams from exit Mercedes (where he will complete his 12th season in 2024), there has to be some special reason.

So perhaps Sainz might have a very competitive car in 2024, at least. But where do you see the Spanish driver going after the end of the season?
