CEO of McLaren Racing, Zak Brown, teased we might see a comparison between Kyle Larson and Oscar Piastri soon.
Kyle Larson is the NASCAR Cup Champion. He upset many Formula 1 fans earlier this year when he claimed he was a better all-around driver than Max Verstappen.
The 32-year-old racing driver is famous on the American continent as one of the best , if not the best, and most adaptable drivers - a reputation he gained for winning races and championships in multiple categories and types of surfaces (even dirt).
Many F1 fans on our social media were furious after hearing such a bold statement from a NASCAR driver, saying they would love to see Larson come and try racing in F1.
After Zak Brown's recent claims, which he made during an appearance on the Happy Hour podcast, it seems we might actually see Larson have a go in one of McLaren's F1 cars.
"We've been chatting about it. I'd love to see Kyle in an F1 car. It is something that we've discussed and something I think will happen down the road."

"Oscar knocked on my door a little bit about his excitement around NASCAR. So, I think if we were to do something with Kyle and one of our Formula 1 drivers, it would probably most likely be Oscar."
As the CEO of McLaren Racing, Zak Brown is involved in managing both the Formula 1 team and Arrows McLaren IndyCar team (which partners with Kyle Larson for the Indy 500).
Consequently, it is in his power to put together a test in which we could see Oscar Piastri, one of F1's top drivers, and Kyle Larson side by side. The NASCAR Champion himself also spoke on the prospects of potentially testing an F1 car. He told Happy Hour:
"I would love to do it, and it sounds like hopefully I'll get to it down the road. I think that driver swaps are really cool, but you don't really have like a bar. You don't have a gauge of where you stack up to others who do it."
"It would be fun to do that with Oscar [Piastri] or Lando [Norris] or whoever, but I would love to strap in with 19 other cars out there and really see where you're at on the speed charts."
Obviously, I don't think that I would be the best, but I would hope to not be last. I think that would show how good American oval racers are and unique, or if I was really bad, then it would just show how bad we are."
