Nico Rosberg is a German and Finnish entrepreneur, former professional racing driver, and a Formula One World Champion who competed in Formula One from 2006–2016.

Nico Erik Rosberg was born on June 27, 1985, in Wiesbaden, West Germany, to German Gesine "Sina" Rosberg and a Finnish professional racing driver Keke Rosberg. Rosberg is married to interior designer Vivian Sibold, and together, they have two children.
Rosberg’s father, Keke, competed in Formula One and won a World Championship in 1982. When Nico Rosberg won the Championship in 2016, he and his father Keke became the second father-son duo to win the F1 Championship after Graham and Damon Hill.
Rosberg started his racing career in karting at the age of six. As a 16-year-old, Rosberg won the 2002 Formula BMW ADAC Championship with VIVA Racing. Rosberg moved to the Formula 3 Euro Series in 2003 - 2004 and later to the GP2 Series, where he won the 2005 championship racing for the ART Grand Prix,
The German driver got his first chance in Formula One in 2006 when he started racing for Williams Racing. He remained on the team during seasons 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2008, Rosberg achieved his first two Formula One podiums at the Australian Grand Prix and Singapore Grand Prix.
In 2010, Rosberg joined the newly formed Mercedes GP Petronas F1 Team and took race alongside the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher. Rosberg got his maiden Formula One win at the 2012 Chinese Grand Prix.
The German driver remained in the Mercedes team until the 2016 season, at the end of which he became a Formula One World Champion and announced his retirement. Throughout his career, Rosberg won 23 races, achieved 57 podiums, and scored 30 pole positions. In 2017, he was included in the FIA Hall of Fame.
