Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen jibed at Renault during an interview at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
In 2024, Red Bull Racing celebrates its 20th anniversary of existence, and the Austrian team came to the Goodwood Festival of Speed prepared accordingly.
The fans who were present could see all of the F1 cars that Red Bull ever produced driven by their favorite drivers, including Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Mark Webber, Daniel Ricciardo, David Coulthard, Christian Horner (team principal), and more.
The whole Red Bull squad came together to celebrate this special moment of the team from Milton Keynes as they drove F1 cars up the hill at Goodwood Circuit.
During the weekend, all of the Red Bull drivers also conducted interviews. During one of these, Max Verstappen was asked to name his favorite Red Bull F1 car.
The triple World Champion couldn't decide on one car, so he named his top three, beginning with RB12. RB12 was Red Bull's 2016 car, in which the 26-year-old won his first-ever Grand Prix race, which was also his first race with Red Bull Racing.
"RB12 because I think it's a fantastic car to drive, a bit slow on the straights but that has nothing to do with the car."
In saying, "It had nothing to do with the car," Verstappen hit out at Renault, Red Bull's former supplier of power units (which didn't perform as well as those of Red Bull's rivals).
The Dutchman's second favorite car was the RB16B, in which he beat Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes to win his first F1 title in 2021.
"RB16B, winning the first World Championship with it, it's always a bit emotional, and it was a great car to drive."
Last but not least was the RB19- Red Bull's 2023 car. What was special about this one? Verstappen won 19 out of 22 races to achieve the most dominant season in the history of Formula 1. "RB19 is my most successful car, always an emotional one for sure."
