Max Verstappen shared his opinion on an upcoming F1 movie starring Brad Pitt that has been shot on track and in the paddock of multiple circuits over the year.
While other movies related to Formula One have not generated too much interest, there has been quite a buzz around the new movie produced by Lewis Hamilton's company starring Brad Pitt.
The movie will supposedly be called Apex, and it will feature a fictional APXGP team. Hamilton's company Dawn Apollo Films, will produce the movie in collaboration with Apple Studios.
What is exciting is that shots for this movie have been taken during real Grand Prix events throughout the 2023 season, where even the real drivers interacted with the actors in their roles, and it is supposed to be super realistic.
The triple World Champion Max Verstappen was recently asked to share his opinion on the upcoming movie with Brad Pitt and whether he has seen any of his movies. He told formule1.nl:
"Yes, that much. Ocean's Eleven, Ocena's Twelve, and so on, I remember those roles. I like movies anyway, and Brad Pitt is, of course, a super actor."
The Dutchman mentioned in a recent interview that one of his favorite activities outside of racing is watching movies with his family. He shared he has already seen a few clips from the upcoming Apex movie.
"Before the American Grand Prix in Austin, I saw a few clips of the new film. These were shown during the Drivers Meeting with an explanation of how they had filmed it all."
While the Red Bull driver likes movies, he stated the Apex does not interest him that much as he already knows everything about F1 and does not like "over-dramatized" movies about his sport. He added:
"It's nice to see, that's for sure, but it doesn't really interest me that much. I don't need to see a film of my own sport. This film is of course, a made-up story and everything is always over-dramatized, you have to love that. I personally don't have much of an issue with that."
