Nico Rosberg assessed Lando Norris's and Max Verstappen's chances in the Drivers' Championship after the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix.
Current Drivers' Championship leader, Max Verstappen, finished second during the 18th round of the season at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
While this was a great result for him and the Red Bull Racing team, considering this was supposed to be one of their weakest races of the season, there was one alarming aspect.
The Dutchman finished more than 20 seconds behind Lando Norris, who drove away from him after the start of the race, showcasing McLaren's superior performance.
After watching the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg suggested he was quite skeptical about whether Max Verstappen could win any of the remaining nine races (including sprints). As per Sky Germany, he said:
"I'm not convinced they [Red Bull] can win any more races this year, as far away as they are right now. They made the most of it this weekend. Max's lap in qualifying was perfection."

"He hit every apex perfectly to get second place. He has to come second every time, then he'll be world champion."
With Daniel Ricciardo stealing one crucial point from Lando Norris with the fastest lap at the end of the race, Verstappen can finish only second in every race behind Norris to win the Championship.
However, the 2016 Champion suggests that won't be easy at all. What's more, he believes that it is possible for Norris to win every single of the remaining races.
"But that's not possible either, you have Oscar Piastri and maybe a Ferrari. Mercedes less so right now, but that's very difficult for Max. Norris can win all the races, I don't see why not."
One stat that will be encouraging for Verstappen is that his lead in the Drivers' Championship has stayed exactly the same—52 points — ever since the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.
That was mainly because he managed to extend his lead in the six following races up until the British Grand Prix. Since then (another six races have passed), Norris has reduced his lead in every Grand Prix (except for Belgium). Rosberg also added, according to GpBlog:
"Lando can seriously win, and he's going to get Oscar's [Piastri] help as well at some point. So then he can really win all the races remaining."
"It's almost impossible for him [Verstappen] to finish second all the time. This is going to be super exciting."
