The Formula One triple World Champion Max Verstappen recently answered a question about the driving style he gets from many people.

Winning the 2023 season in the most dominant manner in the history of Formula One, Max Verstappen proved he already deserves to be called out of the GOATs (greatest of all time).

Besides breaking countless records, Verstappen very significantly outperformed his teammate Sergio Perez, who we know is a great driver.

Many say that Red Bull has had the dominant car, but if there was not Verstappen, the Championship would have been a lot closer than it was.

How is it possible? What does he do differently? The Dutchman told motorsport.com that many people quite often ask him about his driving style:

"When people ask you: ‘What is your driving style?’, I can’t tell you because it’s about being able to adapt to certain situations or what the car likes as well."

It has been suggested that Red Bull builds a car that specifically suits the 26-year-old and his driving style. However, he dismissed these speculations saying he just drives whatever he gets to the best of his ability.

Both F1 drivers have a say when their team asks what they would want from the car, and Verstappen's opinion might naturally be valued a bit more due to his status as the World Champion.

However, he says the team focuses on what makes the car go faster at the end of the day and not what makes only him go faster.

It wouldn't make sense for Red Bull to develop a car in a direction that suits only one driver if they want to win the Constructors' Championship. For that, the team needs two drivers that perform well. Verstappen added:

"What do I want? I want more grip. There’s a lot of things that you want, some things are not realistic. So, I just adapt to the car that I get given."
