Charles Leclerc suggested he cannot wait to learn from Lewis Hamilton, but at the same time, he's excited to show what he has in performance comparison.

Although we haven't seen the two drivers together since the new year, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are already officially teammates.

The seven-time world champion's contract with the team from Maranello came into effect at the start of 2025, and he has already changed his social media profile descriptions to "Ferrari F1 driver."

Besides his skill, experience, diverse views, and attention to detail, it is expected that the 40-year-old will bring to the Italian team a huge motivation boost, which was confirmed by Charles Leclerc. As reported by Racingnews365, he said:

"Everybody's already super motivated. But when you have a seven-time champion joining the team and, obviously, this is the biggest move of the last many, many, many, many years, that boosts the team."
"I've always said that I'm super excited because, on the one hand, I'm going to learn from one of the best, and on the other, it's also a great opportunity for me to be able to show what I can do against such an incredible driver."
"I'm always trying to be on top of my game, but, with Lewis, it motivates me a lot as well."

The Monegasque driver has been in F1 for seven years, and in this period, he lost a head-to-head battle with his teammate only once - in 2021 against Carlos Sainz.

Leclerc already showed that he could beat a multi-world champion when he outperformed Sebastian Vettel in 2019 and 2020. However, it remains to be seen how he compares to the statistically most successful F1 driver ever.

In terms of the relationship, Leclerc and Hamilton already seem to get along pretty well, as they share multiple passions and interests. One of these is music.

"That [music] helps a lot. But the process of knowing each other better started a long time ago, since the beginning [of last year]."
"Since I've known he was coming to Ferrari, we've been able to share more of what we do outside racing. We have shared a lot of our common interests, whether it's music, fashion, travel."
"We already have a really good relationship that I'm sure will evolve once we are more together and we spend more time together."
