Alonso Believes To Be On Red Bull's Potential Driver List

Fernando Alonso recently stated that he believes he is on Red Bull's potential driver list ahead of the 2025 season.

When Fernando Alonso returned to F1 in 2021, it was questioned whether he could perform at the same level that he did before.

Now, with every additional season, the question keeps being asked again and again, and the double World Champion keeps proving he still has what it takes.

Moreover, he was able to move from Alpine to Aston Martin, which is currently performing much better in terms of car performance, and he might possibly have the opportunity to join a team with an even faster car in 2025.

Red Bull may currently be in search of a driver for 2025. Recent rumors suggest that the team might lose Max Verstappen, and if that happened, Alonso's chance of joining Red Bull might be even higher. As quoted by Marca, he said:

"There have been many rumors in the last two or three months, it is difficult to believe all of them."

While it is tough to understand what exactly is going on in the team from Milton Keynes, Alonso believes to be on their potential driver list. He said:

"I do believe that I am on the list, because I do not have any contract at the moment. It is better be on that list than on others. I think I'm on Red Bull's list, because I don't have any contract at the moment."

The 42-year-old isn't in a rush to sign a contract as opposed to some other drivers. He wants to take time to evaluate how he feels. This also gives him an advantage as he can wait longer until some opportunity presents itself, as it might. Alonso added:
